At 2412 m, Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary holds one of the Himalayas' most spectacular viewpoints — Zero Point — where a 300 km unbroken crest of snow peaks including Kedarnath, Nanda Devi, Trishul, Panchachuli, and Chaukhamba stretches across the entire horizon.

Binsar Wildlife Sanctuary — a 45 sq km protected forest at 2412 m above Almora — is Uttarakhand's finest high-altitude forest retreat, completely untouched by mass tourism. The sanctuary is a birder's paradise with 200+ Himalayan species including Koklas Pheasant, Himalayan Griffon, Kalij Pheasant, and the flamboyant Himalayan Monal. The Zero Point viewpoint — accessible by a short forest walk — delivers one of the most extraordinary panoramas in the entire Himalayas: a 300 km unbroken crest of peaks spanning Kedarnath, Chaukhamba, Trishul, Nanda Devi, and Panchachuli in a single unbroken horizon. Nearby Jageshwar — the ASI-protected complex of 124 ancient Shiva temples — and Chitai Golu Devta temple complete a deeply fulfilling cultural and spiritual experience. The sanctuary allows only limited vehicles ensuring pristine silence and true wilderness.

Arrive Kathgodam. Drive via Almora to Binsar Sanctuary (120 km total). Check-in to forest lodge. Short afternoon forest walk — bird spotting in oak and rhododendron canopy. Overnight Binsar.
Pre-dawn hike to Zero Point (2 km from lodge). Witness 300 km Himalayan panorama sunrise — Kedarnath to Panchachuli in one horizon. Return for breakfast. Guided birding walk through sanctuary — 200+ species habitat. Overnight Binsar.
Drive to Jageshwar (35 km) — 124 ancient Shiva temples, Dandeshwar Temple, Mahamrityunjaya Temple in deodar grove. Visit Chitai Temple — Golu Devta shrine with thousands of petition bells. Return to Binsar. Evening nature walk. Overnight Binsar.
Final Zero Point sunrise if clear skies. Post breakfast checkout. Drive to Kathgodam. Tour ends.
